Summer Stripes

Hello everybody! Hope this summer heat has been good to ya so far! Today's #ootd includes one of my all-time favorite striped wide-leg jumpsuit (and it's right under $25 too! #whatasteal!). In my opinion, striped clothes are always great staple pieces to keep in your closet especially during the summer. Stripes, when paired with the right colors, can naturally give a nautical/boating vibe. Originally, I saw a similar jumpsuit on Kendall Jenner and absolutely fell in love with the style, but definitely not the price tag. I started looking for similar pieces online and what do you know, Forever 21 had a "dupe" for almost 1/10th of the price and I've been wearing it on repeat ever since! Some of you readers may think, "well the color of the jumpsuit will attract so much heat from the sun", which could be true, but this jumpsuit was definitely made for the summer because the material is consisted of a light/airy rayon fabric and the wide-leg pants really help keep the ventilation going! Also,  the white vertical striped pattern can help enhance the appearance of a longer body. Lastly, to finish off the boating look, I've added a straw boater hat and a pair of mules for a casual and comfortable day out! Hope you enjoy this #ootd and thank you always for stopping by! ^_^

Summer Stroll

Hey guys! Happy 2nd of July! Hope everyone's been having a fantastic summer!
Here is an outfit that I've been anticipating to share with y'all! It's a simple yet sophisticated look that can work with many different occasions. It's dressy enough to wear to a special event, but casual enough to wear on a day-stroll out and about with friends (maybe not with the 4 inch heels though)!

Haha, I felt like I was taking grad pics all over again.

The color and print of this skirt really stood out to me and it's perfect for summer with the cool leafy vibe. Kind of reminds me of a tropical island. Cool fact: my mom actually bought this skirt for me and we take turns wearing it LOL!

Dancing in place.
I adore all shades of blue, especially turquoise!

I think I almost tripped in this picture. I am absolutely terrible at walking in heels, which is why I rarely wear them.

Not sure if you noticed, but I wanted to keep this look very minimal despite the bright patterned skirt. What I did here was match the skirt with a plain white top and black accessories to keep the look clean and minimal as possible. With a patterned outfit, you want the accessories to be simple so it doesn't clash with the rest of the outfit!

Hope you found some summer fashion inspiration through this post! Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! (:

Cheers to the Start of MDW 2015

Glimpses of one of my closest friend's birthday celebration and the start of our Memorial Day Weekend. Always remembering those who served and are still serving our country today, thank you!

Our fancy schmancy charcuterie board that we designed with cheeses, meats and fruits from Trader Joe's (absolutely love that store!) Also our first bottle from Malibu Family Wines was the Semler Grenache, which was a softer wine with light hints of fruit.

The gorgeous birthday girl opening up her present from all of the girls. If you are wondering what we got her, it was a black leather bucket bag from Banana Republic!

All of the beautiful ladies.

OOTD Snap #1: Trying to look cool while walking past some wine barrels (there were people literally sitting all around me enjoying their picnics while I try to take this picture lol #doitfordablog)

OOTD Snap #2: Did you know that laughing releases endorphins?

OOTD Snap #3. Loving the blue sky and water! The weather was amazing!
OOTD Snap #4: You already know what kind of look I'm going for here..

OOTS Snap #5. The only normal standing picture that captured my whole outfit on the dslr.. looking awkward..

Click on the store names below to be directed to the product (Couldn't find the link for the bag but I linked it with a similar looking one!)

Off the Shoulder Top: Bloomingdales
Wide-leg Pants: H&M

Dinner was at Malibu Farm! A restaurant on the pier that provides healthy and fresh options. This dish was called the Breaded Mustard Chicken.

The Chicken Cheese Quesadilla.

Cauliflower Pizza.

Some sort of quinoa and veggie salad.

Capturing Malibu in between the fences. Thanks Abi!

All in all it was a wonderful day to enjoy and celebrate one of my best-friend's birthday and have a great time with one another! Super thankful for all the friends there and the memories that we got to share that day as well! Hope you enjoyed some of the photos and the OOTD. All the pictures were taken by multiple people. Thank you for stopping by and see you at the next blog! (:

Flashback Friday: Sweater Weather (While it Lasts)

Hey guys! After a few months of being on hiatus, I've decided to finally post an outfit on the blog. I didn't want to become that inconsistent blogger, but... it happened and I am sorry to those who looked forward to the posts (not that I have many followers, but still, I apologize!). During the past few months, I have been thinking of re-launching my blog into something more personal and life-style based (possibly with a new name) so please be on the lookout for that!

On another note, I bring to you my sweater weather outfit of the day. Southern CA has been blessed with consistently warm and sunny weather throughout 2015. However, this past week and coming weekend, I noticed the drop in temperature and decided to upload a previously worn outfit from the  winter season. (I heard it will jump back to higher temperatures again on Sunday though!).
I paired a nice fuzzy neutral sweater along with a pair of black skinnies, jacket, and accessories which instantly enhanced the neutral sweater. The felt hat and faux-leather jacket will definitely help keep the rain out today!

Hope you enjoyed this short post! See you at the next one!

Felt Hat: Forever 21
Sweater: Sample piece from Isabel Lu (Bought from Sovereign Grace's Pop-up Shop)
Black Skinnies: Uniqlo (Korea)
Leather Jacket: H&M
