FALL TREND: DENIM ON DENIM

Light denim paired with dark denim.

Add neutral/warm accents to the cool-toned outfit.

Gently roll up the sleeves to add a casual look.

Out of the many trends this fall, denim on denim is one of my favorites this season. In the 90's, denim outfits were well.. sort of a disaster. However the past few seasons, denim on denim trends have been evolving and drawing lots of attention to the modern day fashionista. You ask, how can I pull off a denim on denim outfit? Well first, take into account that the colors of your denim outfit are of different hues. The colors don't have to be contrasted completely, but even just one shade apart helps compliment the pieces. In my outfit, I've paired a light sky-blue wash with a medium to dark blue pair of jeans to compliment one another, not contrast. Don't forget to add a statement piece to your outfit. When you're wearing a full denim outfit you want to add a pop of either color or some sort of accessory to complete the look. For example, I've added a neutral colored hat and tan leather shoes that stand out and complete the look. Many others have worn bright colored shoes, a statement necklace, or added a detailed bag, but you can put together whatever you like! Hopefully some of these tips will apply to your next denim on denim outfit!

Keeping it Cool in the Fall

Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Today on the blog, I have posted a casual fall outfit containing some cooler tones. Boyfriend jeans have been a huge hit the past few years and I could understand why. They're super comfy because of the looser fit and look great with just about any top. Today, I've paired my distressed boyfriend jeans with a formal sheer grey top. I also added neutral to warmer tone accessories such as my purse, hat, and shoes to balance out the cooler toned top and bottom. An easy and casual outfit to wear during the perfect weather of this upcoming fall!

A Monochromatic OOTD

Today's post consists of a monochromatic outfit. A monochromatic outfit displays either one specific color or a few different colors of one hue. Today, I've chosen an off-white color ensemble. The most common colors people tend to stick with, are of course, black and white. Both colors can easily create simple and classic looks, but also create very edgy or professional looks as well.

An all black or white outfit can be considered very chic, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to stick with those colors. If you choose a primary color, for example blue, try playing around with different levels of blue for your top, bottom, and outerwear (Check out an all-denim outfit). Adding statement pieces to your outfit will definitely enhance your look. If you need more ideas, it never hurts to browse through a few of your favorite fashion blogs to find more monochromatic inspiration, so go ahead and get started!
